Tell us a little about you!

Hi! Sofia and John here. We live in the greater Twin Cities area and love meandering around parks, museums, local trinket shops, and binge watching any show that includes Gordon Ramsay. When not hanging out together, Sofia loves to illustrate and tend to her plants while John is golfing or riding his bikes!

Tell us a little about Lady! 

Lady is a three year old Doberman. Despite her regal and (to some) intimidating presence, Lady is very goofy, playful, and loves nothing more than to snuggle.

How were you introduced to Lady?

We were introduced to Lady through an amazing shelter, Wags and Walks, while we were living in Los Angeles. We had been fostering with Wags for a few months and Lady was a foster fail. We feel so lucky to have found her and are grateful to Wags and Walks for all of the incredible work they do!

What's a personality quirk you love about Lady? 

We call Lady a "leaner" as she loves to come up to you and lean her whole body against you while receiving pets. This includes resting her head on your belly, with her head resting/pointing straight up at you while she stares lovingly into your soul. Lady is also VERY expressive when getting comfortable, and lets out some relatable groans of satisfaction after laying down for a rest after a long day. I think of it like me saying "ahhh"!

What's something Lady has taught you that you've come to value over time? 

When we first met Lady, she was an incredibly nervous girl with an unknown but likely difficult start to life. As time has passed, seeing her confidence and personality blossom has been incredibly rewarding and nourishing for the soul. We think it's a great reminder that everyone is multidimensional and sometimes it just takes the right environment for your true self to shine.

What's your favorite way to spend time with Lady? 

We love spending time outside in an open field while Lady has room to prance around. It's the best way to tire her out and get her in peak snuggling mode (which is our second favorite way to spend time with her)!
