How Dogs Inspire Us To Move Our Bodies

MOVEMENT TO CONNECT US TO JOY, COMMUNITY + BELONGING IN OUR EVERYDAY LIVES

Move With Intuition

Dogs remind us that the way we move our bodies doesn't need to be so calculated. We connect and form bridges with those around us by lowering our defenses, fostering trust by simply being our genuinely goofy selves.

Move Alongside Nature

Dogs safely draw us out of our bubbles to move with nature; wiggling alongside streams and rivers, curving around low tree branches, extending to hear the birds singing from their perch.

We're reminded that organic movement is part of our fabric as huan beings.

Move To Process

When experiencing overwhelm, cortisol builds up in the body. Rhythmic movement like walking our dogs, dancing, and playing allows for increased blood flow to our brain. This triggers a release of stress hormones and allows us to process heavy emotions with more objectivity.

Move Toward Curiosity

In an age where we can search for answers at a moment's notice, dogs thread us back to our desire to gather information from experiencing the world around us in real time.

They break us from moving through our well grooved paths to follow a different scent and see where it leads.

NOTHING TO PROVE, ONLY TO SHARE

If nothing else, movement for movement's sake.
