YOU, OFFLINE📱

Just yesterday we found ourselves saying, “Wow, where did June go?”. If your month has been anything like ours, it’s been a mix of excitement for the summer fun ahead and a heavy right hand of doom scrolling. But, we can always give ourselves the permission to set things down (👀 at you, 📱) and make things a little bit lighter. If you find yourself needing a reminder too, here are some ideas to get you started:
- Long Walk - Without an agenda. One of our favorite things to do is let our dog decide the route. This is often a win-win as it gives him some sense of autonomy while relieving us of another decision. And who knows, maybe you’ll strike up a conversation with someone new or discover a route you may not have otherwise known about! 🦮
- Patio Pup - Spend some time at your favorite coffee shop or brewery. A low-key outing with endless people-watching possibilities for you and your pup. Or text that friend you’ve been meaning to catch up with. ☕
- Green Thumb - Whether it’s a full on yard or a few houseplants, taking some time to immerse yourself in the care of something else will be sure to make you sigh and remark “this is way better than scrolling”. P.S. No judgment if this is also just you dusting a fake plant. Photosynthesis isn't for everyone - you do you. 🪴
- Learn Something New - A new trick with your dog, cook a new recipe, take a class at your local community ed, try paddle boarding, pickleball, etc. Find something else you can immerse yourself in. 🏏
- Be Bored - Reacquaint yourself. If you need a place to start, may we recommend staring out the window with your dog or cat with Enya’s 2000 classic “Only Time” playing in the background. The nostalgia is guaranteed to hit. 🪟
How you decide to spend quality time (offline) is up to you. We’re cheering you on along the way.
